IGM is an identity management platform focused on developing effective RegTech solutions, the latest of which is a first-to-market proof of residence (POR) feature in the IGM app.

The legal requirement for customers to provide verifiable proof of residence (POR) in order to open accounts, RICA SIM cards and receive services is a challenge to many South Africans. Not only is it administratively intensive, it can be difficult to obtain documentation in the form of an invoice if customers do not have existing accounts or services.

By harnessing the processing power of mobile devices combined with their unique technological and innovation skills, IGM has devised a solution which is uniquely tailored to solving the POR issue.

How do we generate the proof of residence?

We verify your ID against the department of Home Affairs. The Verified ID once successful, is then mailed to you as an added bonus. Verified ID is requirement to obtaining a proof of residence.
